Porsche debuted the GT3 variant of the 997 911 in 2007. A new 3.6 Liter Flat-Six engine was introduced with 415 hp and 8,400-rpm redline as well as a host of “zero lift” aerodynamics compared to a standard 911. The GT3 RS provided a homologation model for use in a range of racing series. The GT3 RS is lighter than the standard GT3 as well as having a wider rear track which improved stability and cornering grip. 2010 saw the introduction of the facelifted 997.2 GT3 RS. Porsche uprated the engine to 3.8 Liters, which produces 450 horsepower. Heavily revised bodywork, including a new front end and larger rear wing, help to achieve even greater downforce. The wider body shell shared with the Carrera 4 allows the RS to run a greater track width and improve directional stability and cornering grip.

This 997.2 GT3 RS is all original throughout and is offered in as-new condition with 657 miles. It has been collector owned since new. Only 451 GT3 RS’ were built for the 2011 model year. This RS comes with its window sticker and all books and is ready for immediate enjoyment.
