How do I get the power to the ground?
Modified 4.7 V8V
Nitride hardened crank precision balanced with chromoly rods and race bearings, 4X1 headers, 200 cell cats, low restriction intake and tuning. Suspect it's around 500 HP now, but 0-60 time is stuck around 4 seconds. Now it's either spinning with traction control off, or the traction control is always on in the first 3 gears.
I'd hate to lose the gorgeous 20 spoke wheels with 20mm rear / 15mm front spacers, but the 285x19/245x19 Pilot Sport 4S tires won't stick.
Has anyone found a traction solution for a highly modified Aston?

interested in knowing more about your 4.7, was it damaged or you just wanted to get more power out of it? Who did the build for you? Did you put it on the dino? What year is your car and is it Manual or Auto

I was thinking the same. If straight-line performance is your goal (and if it is, why'd you buy an Aston Martin?), slicks and a soft rear suspension to allow the car to squat.
The Vantage isn't a straight-line car... I often pull a g in corners at the local track... that is what it's for.

As noted above, you want tires with more grip, a wider tire won't help you. I can go into more detail as to when wider tires are a benefit (changes the shape of the contact patch, not the area), but it's not here. In addition, the softer rear suspension suggested earlier helps to shift the CG closer to the rear wheels under acceleration, adding to the force on the rear tires when accelerating. You put alot of money into a RWD car with 50/50 weight distribution. It's not the right platform for hole shots. The best thing to do is to drive the car more gently. It will save your transmission components.

To answer questions (in order):
Stock suspension, not lowered, standard -1.5 degree camber in back.
No damage, no dyno. Different tuners for crank/balance/headers-cats-tune.
2011 with manual.
I agree that it's not a "real" 0-60 car, and I don't want slicks as I'm a motorcyclist and only drive when it's raining or I have a passenger, that doesn't like Harley Davidson, just thought someone had tried Cups or Proxies or something better than PS4S.
Clutch is still good, but it won't last long with traction control on. I'll switch to the AMR twin plate when it's time, but traction could help a lot with clutch/tire life.

It's a smooth spin. The tires just break loose with any application of power.
I had Pilot Super Sports on my supercharged C4S that hooked up nicely, but that was all 4 wheels pulling (325/30/19 rear, 265/35/19 front).
Going from just under 3 seconds with 450 hp to just under 4 seconds with 500 hp seems wrong. There must be a solution.
