Topgear Exhaust For 997.1 TT? Too good to be true?

Has anyone tried the topgear exhaust for the .1 turbo? It seems too good to be true (or too good to be high quality) at this price:

That's good to hear. It seems they are pretty popular on the 911uk forums, just less known around here. I think I'm going to end up giving it a shot, the only thing that is unfortunate is there is no videos of the exhaust so I have no idea how it sounds. They make another version where the mufflers are connected that they have a video for though. I may just end up getting that one. Most of the videos they have are of their valved system, but I'm less inclined to go for that one due to the cost and extra hassle with install.

Interesting, made in the UK huh. Usually everything like this on ebay is a Chinese piece. Would like to know what brand cats come with it.

I reached out to them yesterday regarding some more details and am waiting to hear back. Supposedly the cats are high enough quality to pass emissions, which is a large claim to make. The question is how long they will last. Race cats always seem to fail within a few years.

First time poster but buyer beware.

Purchase a second hand one nearly new and realised why it was being sold!

Turns out they are made by

http://www.liangfei.com.tw/

go to that site and you will see. Cheap cats and poor welding inside. You get what you pay for. Now have Kline system that does everything so much better but at a price

Thats a shame. It seems others have been pretty happy with them. Here's a link to the main thread about their exhaust over on the 911UK site:

Based on the feedback and the price, I'm still going to roll the dice I think.

That system drones pretty badly and does not sound that great - it's old technology for the turbo. IMHO, you would grow tired of it very quickly and wish you did something different. I hear from customers that make exhaust mistakes all the time and they end up buying twice! We can get you into a proper X-style system, but not at that price point. That said, we do have some great year end clearance deals right now to save substantial $$$ on a full system. PM or email if interested.

Maybe ask on 911uk - flicking thru that thread it seems all non turbo cars they are doing so doesn’t matter - all I can say is that when Kline was fitted not only was the sound improved it performed so much better and no drone. My Indy told me that the cats in the kline are close to 1k usd - think HJS maybe? - so how can that other exhaust have them for the price.

Just annoyed i paid twice for fitting - didn’t do any research - stupid me

A used Tubi Sport exhaust ending up popping up on the rennlist marketplace. The price was only slightly higher than the topgear unit so I purchased the Tubi instead.
