Window Trim

Hey all,

How hard is it to remove window trim to repaint? I was thinking about switching mine from chrome to black (per the options upgrades) as to buy them new is over $2k... was wondering how difficult it is to do it myself or have a local shop remove and paint the pieces. Anyone have experience with this?

I actually just wrapped mine recently in satin black. I would say, in a scale of 6 in difficulty.

I was quoted $400 to wrap all the black trim on the car including the side vents. Seems reasonable considering the work and time involved.

Wondering the same... have tried to get "flat rate" quotes from Porsche dealers and have come up with widely desperate numbers. Would prefer to go with the factory black trim package (Suncoast lists the 970 at $1250) but will go with a wrap if the labor is crazy. I wrapped my A8 trim and it's held up for 4+ years.

Trying to steer clear of just doing a wrap... looking for a more permanent solution! Will keep digging. Thanks guys.

My chrome door trim is painted to match exterior color (white). The PO ordered it like this but some body shops can paint them for a reasonable amount of $ without major deconstruction of the doors.
