So, I love my car, but... recently I’ve been getting the “4four wheel drive faulty “ message.. nothing happens for a bit. Then suddenly all drive /gears are disengaged like I’m in neutral. Car revs but no traction. Not nice when travelling at speed. Any ideas what it is? Gear oil, gasket and filter change less than 3000miles ago. To get the gears back I have to pull over, switch car off. Back on. Stick to neutral with brake on. Pull transmission control back. “Reduction off” comes on dashboard. I can drive again. What on earth?
