few PM's = full inbox ?
 

I'm keep deleting everytime I send/reply members. The inbox looks small
What should I do to upgrade it?

it's not small...when you fill one page it adds a page selector at the top right of the screen...go into user cp (far right on top menu) and select list messages...there you can view all the pm's you have received and also the sent pm's if you like

For some reason the inbox capacity looks small

weird...I can't see anything in your account settings that would limit the size of your private message inbox...the default setting is 5,000 pm's not 10...let me check with the techs

ok, here is the poop...when I first looked I didn't notice that you had only joined on February 18, 2012...as a new user you have less pm capacity...after you have been on the board for a while your capacity for pm's will increase...

It's based on post count apparently. I couldn't reply to a PM after I first joined until I had 15 posts. :rolleyes:

I guess we are not supposed to actually use the site. Heaven forbid we be able to send messages to each other. Nope. 10 messages...full inbox. I guess I'll be forced to use the OTHER forum.

You are a perfect example of a member that will be effected by this part of the software...5 years a member and only 5 posts...it seems to me you are already using the OTHER forum...if you want to look for nefarious motives look no further than your government...the only purpose for the message limit is to protect members from having their inbox filled up by a newbie spammer or spambot which we have to deal with every day...it is in no way an attempt to limit communication between members...in fact, the more you send messages the bigger your inbox will get...I have room for 10,000 pm's as do many other long time active members

I guess it doesn't matter I how I read the forums, just how much I type.

It's a safeguard to make sure you aren't a robot.... if you keep hammering here in this thread, you will end up with enough posts to do whatever you want before you know it.

Please continue to read and chime in when the mood strikes you...you will soon find your message limit removed...if not, let me know, as there could be a glitch in the software and if that is the case I would like to see it fixed...thanks for bringing the issue up
