Beware the Ventura County Sheriff's Rear-Facing RADAR!
I've noticed lately that the Ventura County Sheriff is now using rear-facing radar. Yesterday I saw three VC Sheriff cars in the space of two miles on the side of the road and was hit with radar about 100 yards behind them. If you are driving without a V1 you are begging for a ticket!
Thanks for the heads up. I was driving home earlier in the week and saw at least 2 or 3 patrol cars working the west end of Rice where it connects to Hwy 1. Now I know what they are up to!
They seem to be working in groups now, presumably because they hope you'll think that once you pass one you're in the clear and can resume "keeping a safe distance between you and the cars behind you" and the second one can tag you. They also seem to be hiding around curves and in driveways, at least in the east end of the county.
