I think maybe an early spring run for 08 would be the best route to go. I'd be all for heading this up if there is some serious interest.

MiniD, would your dads shop be willing to host some folks before and after the runs? Maybe he could do some tunes, etc. Let me know and I'll be happy to kick start this.

Alright guys, I'm going to try and meet offroad (Audi R8 owner) this Saturday to meet and discuss a meet here in Knoxville. The bottom line is this: the Dragon is great but there are so many other roads we could hit as well. So maybe a 2 day GTG where we do all kinds of drives and also meet up at some local high-end shops for eats, drinks, etc. I'll report back when I have more.

I agree even when I go to the tail of the dragon, I end up driving on other roads in the area. There are plenty of good (if not better) roads in the area.

 

maybe we can meet at the dragon and drive in the mountains over a weekend or something? Knoxville may be a little far for a lot of the NC/GA ppl who would be interested (me included).. but whatever I guess.

 

I met with John (offroad911) this morning to discuss a possible May meet here in Knoxville and we came up with the following dates:

May 17-18 or May 24-25, 2008

I'm going to try and assemble a team with John to make this happen. Things we're looking to have:

- Host Shop(s) or Dealer(s)
- Multiple Runs (fast and scenic drives to suit all tastes)
- Hotel (with security for high-end cars)
- Sponsor(s)
- Banquet or Large Group Dinner

We're going to work on some action items in the coming weeks so stay tuned for more. I'm also going to touch back with Shank and the crew to ensure publicizing on 6speed is okay.
