I want to come (enough already with the puns!) but, My son is due Aug 12th (first one ) so, unless I get really creative with some misdirection and slight of hand trickery, I'm pretty sure my wife will have me changing some poopie diapers on Saturday.


Don't worry though, I've already counter weighted the Grey Whale for his baby seat so I'll be back for the next one.....

UPDATE:

We have the meet point and 2 other stops along the way to the lake and 1 quick fuel stop on the way back. i have had some people tell me that they didnt feel good or felt woozy when we got to the resturant because of the heat.

1. make sure you drink plenty of water and keep hydrated. most likely, its going to be hot and dry as usual. you can lose a lot of water standing outside. 1 of the stops to the lake is also a bathroom break so dont worry about that. its probably a good idea to drink a large glass of water leaving the house and bring at least a 1 liter water bottle per person to consume along the way to the lake.

2. wear comfortable clothes and shoes. a ball cap or hat wouldnt hurt either

3. bring an FRS 2-way radio. i have this one and it works very well but you can get a cheap one at RS for $10-15. its not a must have but it helps to be in touch with other drivers.

4. come with a full tank of gas or at least 3/4. we will have 1 gas stop right after lunch.

5. be on time to the drivers meeting (9:15am) , especially if this is your first run with us to PK so you can get an over view of the route and the days activities.

6. prepare to have a great time and keep it safe

7. ALWAYS check your mirrors before passing, someone might be passing you!!!
