DIY 997 Series Porsche 911s

Are you a grease monkey? Do you have a few basic tools (and battle scars to prove you used them?)

Here is a collection of links to very useful DIY write ups for owners of the 997 series 911.
  1. Modifications, maintenance, and repairs at your own risk.
  2. Sharing info is encouraged! We all love our cars, and little hints here and there can save another member countless curses and frustration.
  3. When able, please use a digital camera to capture images that you think are helpful.
  4. Give credit where credit is due...members and sponsors spend their time and effort to collect information for the purposes of sharing. To all contributors...thank you.
  5. Links to other forums are okay.
This thread is on going. I will be making additions as I find them. If you would like to contribute, please send me a PM. Please do not post directly to the thread.

Here is one for a DIY Grill screen. It is for a GT3, but it should be the same for the Turbo, or Carrera.

Essentially the same engine...

Oil drain is on the bottom of the sump, remember to use a new washer part number.

Oil filter casing is on the top of the engine.
