How to program the Homelink Garage Door Opener
This is what I did to get the Homelink garage door opener to work in my Cayman S, 991, and Audi TT. The steps work for garage door openers that have a rolling code.
You will need the remote garage door opener that you usually clip on a visor.
1. Clear all codes on the Homelink opener by pressing the 1st and 3rd (left and right) buttons for 20 seconds. Once the light flashes rapidly you can release the buttons.
2. Press and release the Homelink button you wish to program. It will start flashing slowly.
3. Now position yourself at the front of the car so that you're facing the windshield. Point the remote garage door opener 6 to 12 inches in front of the left headlight (passenger side). Press and hold the button on the remote that opens the garage door you want to open. Once the parking lights blink on and off 3 times you can release the button.
4. On the garage door opener unit (motor) press and release the learn button. On most units this will light a red LED.
5. Go back in the car and press and hold the same Homelink button from Step 2. Once the light on the garage door opener (motor) blinks on and off 3 times you're done. You can now release the button.
6. If you press the Homelink button again, the door should now operate.

The first step is to clear the Home Link of any pre-existing codes, so you’ll need to hold down buttons #1 and #3 for at least 20 seconds until the LED light blinks in rapid order. This indicates that the memory is no longer storing any codes.

I can't for the life of me get past the "hold in front of the bumper" , my lights don't blink.
I've done this in the past with many cars, could i be missing the transmitter inside the bumper or something

Ok, thanks for the manual. I plan to install this system when I get the new garage door.
I want the new door to be a wooden garage door with windows. It should have at least two windows because I like natural light, and it also helps to kill the mold. But this door also needs to be insulated, so it’s not hot inside the garage in the summer and not that cold in the winter.
I have chosen wooden doors because they will fit the design of the house better, and I just like the looks. What would you say about this material? My choice was mainly based on the looks and aesthetics of the product.
