Frothy oil - 996!

I've looking to upgrade to a 996 Carerra from a Boxster 987 and have looked at a few cars.

Today I drove 80 miles to view a vehicle described as "stunning" only to find three big dents in the side, all alloys kerbed and a white froth/foam in the oil.

I supposed this was coolant?

Was I right? Also coolant resovior was a dirty yellow and no coolant was visible!!

if you are not 100% sure you can put a lighter to the dipstick if the oil boils it has water in it.
