Do I dare introduce my car and the driver?....lol
I have been a 6Speeder for some time, but I have never really ventured over to the VW section, been at the Northwest section. I drive a.... well.... not a R32... not even a GTI.... a red 2-door 08 Rabbit.
I'm going to college in Albany, OR... going for a Mechanical Engineering degree and possibly minoring in Entrepreneurship. I'm on student government as the Public Relations Secretary.... ummm.....I'm a 3.5 year cancer survivor.... what else, what else... I am going to modify my Rabbit, Broomhilde, this summer
My list of modifications I want to do: Rims + Tires (Blaque Diamond Dust?), Suspension (IDK, help?), make Rabbit badges to replace the VW on the grill and hatch, less restrictive air intake, less restrictive exhaust

welcome to the club. well your Rabbit looks great. when I had my Rabbit , I did the Evolution tuning intake, AWE cat-back exhaust, Unitronic 93 octane flash, and an H&R Cup kit. it was a great car but I needed more. good luck on the modifications.
An 08 Rabbit is a decent 1st car. I bought my 1st dub when I lived in Tacoma, WA. It was an 88 Golf auto...slow as hell. But it got me cross country to NJ with no problems. It was nicely Euro'd. Since then I've been through 6 dubs, all modded. Now I own 2. So...speaking from experience I would say to you, don't dump too much money into your rabbit. Keep your mods simple and save your money for something you really want...after college.
BTW...what's your reason for majoring in mechanical engineering and minoring in business?

After thinking about it... I'm not going to invest any money in mods. I want to build a Rat-Rod
I like coming up with ideas to solve problems, whether they are for necessity or for fun, so a ME degree kinda fits. The business side of it is for my future goals; I want to start a manufacturing business in thin film electronics. I'm wanting an education which will allow me freedom of employment.
Have any advice, AE1867?
