Are Michelin PS2's worth the Price Over Conti Sport 3's

I just got some new Volks for my S4 (19 X 8.5" ET38) and I need a set of tire for them. I need a 255/30/19 tire.

I have had three sets of PS2's in the past. Two on the BMW and one on the S4. I liked them a lot. I have conti sport 3's on now (245/35/19) on my S4 but they seem a little loud.

The Conti Sport 3's are ~$280 a tire and the PS2's are ~$380 a tire. Is the extra $400 really worth it for the better PS2's. What are you experiences with these tires?

it all depends on what youre looking for ?
i personally could care less about
noise/wet traction/load rating/ life (relatively speaking)

i only care about grip and top speed rating
my tires are pretty much worn, and i keep going between the ps2 and the conti, not because of price, but because the conti has a higher speed rating

ive taken my car to 202, however i plan on doing a taller rear tire and going for a longer 6th gear

i might give the conti's a try, as long as they dont run narrow

Well I dont see my S4 going 202 anytime soon. It is getting a 150 shot, direct port, this summer though. And it already puts out about 400hp and 370Lb-ft.

I think i am going with the Conti's as I have heard they have a stiffer sidewall. and the S4 is a heavy beast.

Overall both are excellent tires.

Do you drive the car hard? If so the Michelin are worth it. If not try the Conti. They offer about 85% of the ultimate performance at 75% of the price. Wear and noise level of the two is about the same. The Sport Contact 3 is a closer tire to the PS2 than the Sport Contact 2 was.

Please contact me if you would like to buy them from us or if you have questions.

Thanks for the reply Damon. I just ordered some Conti 3's in 255/30/19 from Tirerack. I should have listed you as a reference. Is there a way I can add you as the agent who helped after the order?
