The Famed Pista de Fiorano

Only a very elite group of drivers have ever gotten behind the wheel on the Fiorano circuit operated by Ferrari. Ferrari test drivers often joke that if you can survive on this track, you can tackle any track in the world! If anything, this track has become an infamous track to benchmark Ferraris built during the modern era.

As we all know, Ferrari has always strived to outdo itself by producing a faster and more technologically advanced supercar and running a faster lap time at Fiorano is one of many milestones that makes a new Ferrari worthy of carrying the brand image!

Check out a highlight of some of the fastest production Ferraris to lap the Fiorano circuit by scrolling through this slideshow!

Testarossa - 1:40.6s

Back in the mid-80's, Ferrari came out with one of its most iconic models. The Testarossa was a mid-engine supercar with a glorious V12 and a gated-manual transmission. Although newer Ferraris have come a long way in terms of performance and reliability, classic Ferraris will always have their charm and maintain high resale values!

512 TR - 1:35.0s

In the early 1990's, Ferrari succeeded the Testarossa with the 512TR which was a huge step forward in terms of reaching the performance potential of Ferrari's today. The mid-mounted V12 produced over 428HP. 0-60 happened in a quick 4.8s which was scorching fast in that era!

F355 - 1:34.0s

The next milestone for Ferrari in styling and performance came through the F355. The F355 was bred to be a more serious track machine by saving weight wherever possible and utilizing a free-revving V8 engine that produced over 375HP. The F355 also pioneered the use of the F1-style paddle shifters in production Ferraris!

360 Modena - 1:31.0s

Many regard the 360 Modena as the first true modern Ferrari as it is leaps ahead of the F355 in terms of styling and chassis dynamics. Maximum power increased to 395HP and the automated F1-style transmission became more refined making the 360 Modena a true worldwide competitor at the turn of the century.

F50 - 1:27.0s

Who doesn't love the Ferrari F50? The F50's styling is synonymous with the Ferrari brand itself and many of us grew up with a poster of this exact car on our bedroom walls. Beyond the aggressive styling, the F50 produced over 513HP with a 4.7-liter V8 engine. Putting down that kind of power without electronic aids and a 6-speed manual transmission had to be an experience of a lifetime!

Enzo - 1:24.9s

Ferrari knew it had to develop the most serious track machine it had ever produced when the car was destined to be named after the founder of the brand, Enzo Ferrari. The 6.0 liter V12 produced over 650HP naturally-aspirated horsepower and was able to accelerate faster than any other production Ferrari produced in its time. The Enzo re-established Ferrari's dominance in the supercar market.

488 Pista - 1:21.5s

The 488 GTB is an amazing machine on its own, but the 488 Pista track special is a true marvel. By the numbers alone, the 488 Pista is staggering. 0-60 happens in less than 2.85 seconds and 0-125 flashes by in 7.6 seconds. Total power input is up to 711hp, over 50hp more than the "base model" GTB!

LaFerrari - 1:19.7s

Today's most radical production Ferrari is the LaFerrari hypercar. By utilizing a 789HP V12 engine and an F1-derived KERS system, total power output is a staggering 950HP. Along with a state-of-the-art monocoque chassis and electronic differentials, the LaFerrari is able to lap Fiorano blazingly quick.

When do you predict that a Ferrari production car will be able to lap Fiorano sub 1:10s?
