Let’s just get all of the impressive stats out of the way

So, to begin, the Pininfarina Battista can go from park to 62MPH in less than two seconds. Impressive, sure, but also consider this: it can hit 186MPH in less than twelve seconds. It runs on 1,900 horsepower and generates 1700 lb-ft of torque. It can top off at about 220MPH.

Did we mention it’s an electric hypercar?

The Pininfarina Battista is outfitted with a rather large 120kWh battery and a motor for each wheel. This sort of configuration allowed the team to produce a car with torque vectoring as one of its key performance indicators. In layman’s terms, it means the car independently distributes torque and power to each wheel which, in turn, allows for superior dynamic handling. Oh, and as if the power is not impressive enough, this vehicle promises 280-mile range per charge.

As beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside

One look at the Pininfarina Battista and you’ll instantly become smitten by the car’s flowing curves and sleek body. Thin, red aluminum lines nicely complement the car’s red brake calipers and tail lights. The butterfly doors serve a dual purpose: they channel air around and into the body of the car, and they provide some serious wow factor (as if that was needed). Take a look inside and you’ll see the car is not cramped. There’s plenty of leg room and you can sit back and relax in luxuriously soft leather seats. The wow factor here is the triple screen infotainment that sits behind the wheel. Distracting? Sure. But honestly, why not?

Who’s behind the Pininfarina Battista?

You’re probably familiar with the name Pininfarina—the Italian company is world renowned for its car designs; not so much for manufacturing or technology. The powertrain underneath the Battista is actually produced by Croatian company Rimac, already known for its ability in the space, as well its contributions to the Jaguar E-type Zero and Aston Martin Valkyrie. Indian carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra holds a majority stake in Pininfarina. Its involvement with the Battista project ensures the manufacturing aspect of the business is properly addressed.
