Pininfarina to Produce 250 MPH EV Hypercar!

They don’t have anything on the market at the moment, but what they lack for in actual wheels, they make up for in promise. Case in point: The company’s pledge to produce a fully electric, Pininfarina-badged hypercar set to arrive in 2020.

Automobili Pininfarina was launched by Mahindra & Mahindra. With a roster of leading engineers ready to get to work, the company plans to use all of its resources to produce the futuristic hypercar. It is worth pointing out, of course, that Mahindra races in Formula E. So not only does the company have the book smarts to produce the vehicle it promises, it has the experience to draw upon to make sure it’s a high-performance EV.
Outlook
As one of the world’s most renowned car design companies, with a roster that includes the likes of the Nuova Alfa Spider, Ferrari P4/5, Sergio, F12, 458 and so on, there is no doubt that Automobili Pininfarina will succeed in creating a high performance, luxury electric hypercar using its vast experience with race technology.
Specifically referencing how EVs are the ‘future’, Mahindra said: “When power, beauty, and high-end EV technology come together in one car, that will be the perfect luxury vehicle, that will give car lovers the freedom to roam without impacting the planet adversely.”
Early indications suggest the project will be limited to 100 cars max. Those interested in purchasing one can expect to pay upwards of $2 million.
