The regular road-going Porsche Cayman GT4 features a 3.8L 6-cyl engine that produces 385hp. It also features a manual transmission, something still sought after by most car enthusiasts. While not touted as being the fastest in a straight line of embodying 911 Turbo performance specs, the Cayman GT4 really shines in the corners as the suspension keeps the car stable and balanced under hard lateral g-forces.

The Porsche GT4 Clubsport is an entirely different beast in that its a true race car and foregoes many of the amenities of the Cayman GT4. Inside the cockpit, a driver will notice the exposed roll cage and lack of design aesthetics. This was done to reduce weight by 89lbs and give the Clubsport an advantage on the track. The Clubsport also comes standard with PDK double clutch gearbox with flappy paddles on the wheel. Another addition is variable ABS option which has 10 different modes to choose from depending on tire style and weather conditions.

Perhaps the largest offering the Clubsport affords enthusiasts is the Manthey Racing package. Manthey’s upgrade package includes carbon-fiber doors, front trunk lid, a polycarbonate windshield, and an optional lightweight battery, which together shave 88 pounds from the 2866-pound Clubsport. A suspension kit with linear bearings and an adjustable anti-roll bar help to further optimize the car for competition. You also get a bigger wing on the rear for increased downforce at higher speeds.
