Can you buy the Manthey BBS wheels and do they fit the TT. The article I read about that GT3 and those wheels kind of made it sound like the wheels were limited production for Manthey. I am definitely not that interested in these wheels if they are not that much lighter and they are prone to bend if used on the street.

Thanks for the photoshop efforts. I would like to the wheels in gold even on a back TT, but I know my wife would rag me about having gold wheels.

His BBS wheels play the part much better than your Hamaan wheels, bro. What does Hamaan have to do with Porsche anyways? Same goes for HREs.

NOTHING. Just straight aesthetics.

Really??? I guess that's why Porsche has gone to 19's on the 997 S.

true, true, but i was referring to the 996 model where one would have to run such a low profile tire w/ a 19' that it would be a detriment (sp??) to handling and more prone to dings/dents/flat spots b/c of the small sidewall on the tire. ALSO, we all know that if you are going to be driving at the track, 18's have ALOT more options for track tires. the fact that the new 997 now is designed for 19's with a higher aspect tire sidewall AND the ferrari challenge stradale comes with 19's and corsa's hopefully will push tire manufacturers to produce some track tires in those sizes. but, in any case, the 996 was designed for 18's at largest, therefore the problems encountered when running 19's.....

Yeah baby. The scarey thing is there are probably some people out there that may actually think those gold spoke rims look good on my car.

I was at Manthey Racing 2 weeks ago in my GT2.

The Mag wheels are unique to them only and are stamped Manthey Racing on the outer lip. They are also TuV street approved in Germany which means they have been fully tested.

They are 9x18 and 11x18, but require a rear spacer for fitment to Turbo/GT2 as they have offset for a GT3.

They are very cool, very light and very strong but also about twice the price of the 3 piece BBs wheels as sold by FVD.

Completely correct...I have a set of the 1pc Mags mounted with Dunlop SP9000 Super Sport RACE tires (not avaiable in the US). They are GT3 offset and as you said would require spacers on the TT, but are extremely light....

Yeah I was going to say what's the point of those wheels if they are 21/22 lbs. The Fikse Profil 10s I just ordered weigh less, and cost less too. They look almost identical and the quality of Fikse is no less than BBS.

At those weights, getting mag is pointless, especially when BBS makes a "scalloped" aluminum wheel that weighs 13.5 lbs. for the fronts and 15lbs. for the rear.

And also, for the record, Cary Eisenlohr's and Manthey's 1-piece BBS magnesium each weigh only 15lbs.

At 21lbs. I'd rather get Kinesis or Work.

I was about to say the same thing, hell the cheap wheels I bought for my acura are 17lbs given they are only 18x7.5 but they only cost me $850 for a set of four and have held up unbelievably to some ****ty long beach roads.
