I am paying 3.8K a year for the cars in my sig from Amica.

They insure both of my houses, also. I think I pay too much, although insurance is expensive where I live.

Sell the car...

I lived in Germany outside of Amberg for 3 years, then moved to Vilseck.. (retired 1SG) It is just insane to take a US Spec Porsche to Germany. It will cost an arm and a leg to make it euro spec if you have to sell it there. Take a corvette or a Z-28 or some other US junk over there and sell it after a year. I sold a brand new Z28 and brought home a 928GTS. You can pick up a BMW, Merc, Audi for about 7-8K and drive the hell out of it. I drove home from Frankfurt in my Z-28 doing about 120 and I thought the T-tops were going to blow out. Little opels were passing me! Insurance is outragous over there for US service members. That's why you buy, drive, wreck, get another. BTW.. 4 cars here with USAA $429.00 every six months. That's at Ft Bragg...

Best advice is above. Driving record is most important but you should check with Porsche Club or other Porsche owners in your local area or the difference in rates will confuse you.

F all of you and your cheap insurance!!!! lol

I'm 21. Have a ****tier than ****ty driving record, one accident. I have three cars... 911 insured to 70k, R34 insured to 65k, and LGT insured to KBB value...

I pay almost..... $15k a year. I'm with Progressive though, as they were the only ones to insure me. My insurance would be roughly 3/4-1/2 that if it weren't for driving on a suspended license once. My fault entirely, but I was unaware of the court date I missed.

I spoke to a broker, 7 out of the 10 insurance companies he deals with wouldn't insure me at all, and allstate wanted 5k every 6 months! Nationwide offered the best price at 150 a month. Single 24 year old, car would be listed as my primary car not pleasure, no tickets, accidents or any blemishes on my record. Once I turned 25 it would drop to 130 a mo.

Better that than making a new thread and getting told to use the search

Man, I'm glad I'm an older fart! I pay less than $870 per YEAR for a 2004 996TT Cab and about $600 per year for an 1988 911 Cab. The older Lexus with a 17 year old insured is only around $1,100 per year.

I would think most auto policies are driving record based. I have a pretty bad record and they get me for about 9k a year. But I also have maximum limits across the board.

I just did a quick quote on USAA and they came back with only $61.00/mo for a 996TT! But with a multi-car discount plus home owners insurance and a few other things, the net increase in my premium will only be about $45.00/mo! That makes me pretty happy! I too had a bad driving record years ago. Came 1 ticket away from getting my driver's license suspended. I was spending an arm and a leg for basic insurance back then. Thankfully, I have been ticket free for 8 years or so (but that doesn't mean I haven't pulled over!).
