Such a nice car, in the condition it looks to be like, it's worth to keep without modding. I'd probably do the same and, if I need to replace something, would probably stick to what the factory offered at the moment.

To put this in perspective Ford made over 500,000 1965 Mustangs alone. GM makes over 1,000,000 pick up trucks EVERY year.

Most of the highly modified ones are 86-87 951's. Most turbo S or 89 turbo owners tend to keep them fairly stock. Chips, AFM and maybe wastegate. Stock AFM is restrictive and stock wastegate are old and tend to be more costly to replace if you use OEM. For me I use this setup since it retains the stock look.

Thanks, being the only one, makes it worth keeping all the stock bits. I just need to figure out if I' going to use my satin of polish Club Sport wheels on it..

You said you were going to put the OEM wheels on back on. What are you doing with the ones that are on there now? I have an 88 turbo RED with 58,000 miles on it. I'd like to update/change the original phone dial wheels to something else.

I may keep them for street use, as I'm going to have my factory wheels restored to brand new.. If you are wanting some wheels, I do have these for sale.
A set of 7&8X16 968 rims.

And
I have a set of 8&10X17 ATP wheels off a 964.

Major difference is S spec: Bigger turbo, adjustable koni suspension, forged wheels (16x7fr-16x9rr), trans cooler, body is seam welded for added strength, LSD, & bigger front brakes from the 928 S4, I think thats about it!

congrats, I still love 944's, had 2 944's and now a 911. Perhaps I can find another one someday, like a 944 Turbo in nice shape.
