Tym is not banned. there was some confusion but we got it sorted.

 

Tym had a chance to do some more tuning on the road today on Sledgehammer. Sounds like he is very close to getting her all dialed in. hopefully we will have a chance to get some 60 - 130 times very soon.

 

here's an update. we had a fuel pump go out on sledgehammer earlier today. after installing the new pump, Tym started to tune Sledgehammer on the road. The car was running very rich with the new fuel pump so we will need to recalibrate some more tomorrow. we still made a couple 60 - 130 pulls anyways. we are waiting for Aaron to verify the run. once it is verified, i will post the official time.

 

Sledgehammer's 60 - 130 run has just been verified at 4.76 seconds!

 

Congratulations David on the new time. I have confidence that Tym will do better very soon. He should be able to shave a tenth off just by getting an awesome 3 to 4 shift.

thanks aaron. we are hoping for a better run as well. we still need to recalibrate the tune for the new fuel pump. the car is running extremely rich. we will see if we can do better tomorrow if the weather is good.

 

Right, I talked to Tym about it. He is very excited about the new updates hes incorporated into the Sledgehammer software. He says my car is days away from running, and he hopes it will hit even harder!

Aaron, once the car is properly calibrated with the new fuel pump, it should definitely hit harder. i will keep you posted.

Just wanted to congratulate Les (evoviiiyou) on his Sledgehammer purchase! I will miss her, but at least she is still in the family!

 

Thank you David, Tym and the rest of the SPI team for raising the bar once again on my baby! This deal saved me alot of time trying to have another one built in a fast time after I sold my original 997Turbo earlier in the summer months.

With that said, I cant wait to get some vids racing some of the fastest cars in the midwest and to get some mile runs in in 2010. Again I cannot believe that I get to wake up to this bad boy...I think I love my Sledge as much as my family

Thanks Shotcaller. One things for sure is that I will test the strength of this stock bottom end as I will drive her...I mean drive her. I cant wait to roll on runs with many friends that have TTGallardos to modded ZR1's...should make for a fun spring next year!
