New Project called B9R Under Construction...at BBi
Built cars
I think sometimes the build is the best part, and me personally, it is easy to get caught up in the you will need this, It is another 500-3000 and after saying ok about 10 to 15 times, and you now will have 30-50k in the build, I say how much faster??? how much better??? If I had it to do over I would not have built my engine, I think 700 to the wheels is plenty.
and if you blow your motor they are available for 18k. Not that Art has the same regrets that I have.
Art your car is crazy, (in a good way) I saw it at BBi before the texas mile. It did not look like you ever said no.
Did the re-gearing for the tx mile have any adverse effects on street driving?

As Chris Farley used to say on Saturday Night Live "Car is not for SALE for the Love of God"
I have another crazy 60-130 from last night at 1.3bar which Scott could not find in the files. I'm going to send him the whole data that is in the box. You will all be happy. This time it was with my 18" HRE's, 60 degrees, one shift, and .....seconds. Things are looking good fellas.

While I agree with KPG, I believe to each his own and if you thought about selling it, that is ultimately your business. We are still friends.
However, if you sell it and buy a GTR we are no longer friends and I will fart, spit and burp in your general direction
jk

This is what many do not understand. I have been in this camp and see way more bad *** muscle car builders (both builders and amateurs) go through this and then sell to fund their next project. They often lose money but just love the trials and tribulations of a build. It's not my way of doing things. I don't enjoy the build that much - I want to drive the damn car! But hey I don't tell others what to do with their car.
Hell, I might sell my Camaro right after its 3 year build is done. In part because of I seem to have become addicted to the P-car!
But surely I hope to not be publicly chastized on here or another forum for doing so if I post it for sale.
Good luck Art. Only you know what you are doing and can justify it.

Setting up run
Robert, there are many rumors so don't mind them. In the mean time, get me that race set up with the TT G down in your neck of the woods. I have a shootout next week so the week after would actually work. Just heard some more news from Japan on the new clutch set up I will be getting on this car

Let's do this right. Two camera cars and two spotters with everyone holding 2-way radios. I will get everything ready for the big event. We will keep it small with only two cars running and the rest are support and video cars. Also, we should put a camera guy in each car.
I know you guys said the match will be conducted in Mexico, however I have some free advice. Keep people out of your cars and do not have anyone following along. Sh*t does happen and if it does the last thing you want is a liability anchor with no coverage hanging over you and/or your family. People just love to sue once these types of things occur. Think about it, you don't even have to be at fault, the other guy could lose control and kill himself, his passenger (look what happened to ben and he was at a sanctioned event), participant or spectator. You could have done nothing to contribute other than participating. Do you really want the liability for someone else's stupid mistake? A mistake that you cannot control!

First of all, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members for their positive feedback and all their input. Second, I would like to apologize to all members if some info got deviated b/c there was no intention to mislead anyone regarding dyno numbers. I know some members have shown their concerns regarding this issue. So, let me simply explain to you of what happened. VR texted me before the Tx Mile to make a joke and for those that know him well, you know he likes to stir things up so I was new at this and fell for it
His dyno number on dynamics was 1036rwhp and mine was 1032rwhp so it was close to each other and my comment was solely related to this number. I have never seen a 1386rwhp on a 996tt yet and it does not mean it will never be one. All of us like to push the limits of these cars and see what they can do. The performance of these cars on the road is better than any dyno number, we all know that. I will continue to push the limits of this car as far as more 60-130, 1/4 mile runs, etc. Third, the races will have to be post poned for a few weeks and I do agree with Chad here regarding safety issues. Fourth, my Mom has been battling with Leukemia for the past year and me being the only person to care for her has been tough as far as bills go but I have come up with a solution to hold car for now and forget about the other project too. I thank all of you again for all your kind words and support b/c without all of you it would have not been the same.
