Even 400 should be insane in something light like that.
I saw a couple of them running around in LA last fall and a friend just got a body he's painting.
Have thought one would be fun to run errands in around town but the amount of idiot drivers and my increasing age combine to make me consider things a little more some days.

With age comes wisdom. Well... in my case it's coming slowly! I mean realllly slowly

I have a soft spot for Buggies!! That was my first car when I was 13. Really learned how to drive in one of those doing a lot of driving in the dirt which taught me to feel what the car is doing. I think it had less than 40 hp.
I would love to build one and run around town from time to time. Reminiscing about the good old days. It's mostly sunny, all year around here in Southern California so it could get a lot of use.

I just realized we might get in trouble for tread jacking. SORRY guys.

Oh and one last thing... BUGGIES RULE

LOL, well, those rims remind me of a couple of past girls that I told "I'll call ya'".

315s fit just fine on my 11s. I've run 315 Hoosier R7s and Toyo 888s on them with a square fitment. I'm sure there is a 315 out there that might bulge out a bit but I can't comment from experience. Unfortunately, when a tire manufacturer lists a tire, let's say 315, you'd think they would be 315 milimiter wide but that's not always the case. You have to check their specs just to make sure.

Come to think of it, those are Hoosier R7 315s in the back in those pics. I have fresh 888s on there right now. Haven't even drove on them yet. I'll post some pics soon with 888s all the way around.

Wheels

Not quite for every 996tt, but after multiple combos, I was able to create these Leon Hardiritts. 9x19 & 12.5x19 😁
