So I finally replaced my alternator that was acting out, after I keep changing my battery, but I found a leak under the expansion tank, I am wondering if I need to replace the entire housing?

 

If any one knows, I would appreciate input if this is what I need.

 

It could be numbers of things that causes the leak. If your expansion tank & cap is still original, there might be a hairline crack that leaks under high pressure. Very common in the 996. Check the fitting where the pipe connects. Could be a loose clamp(s) maybe? G/L

 

Thanks for your replied, I am not sure I'll have my mechanic try to pinpoint the issue, is very little but don't want to take any chances.
