Thanks guys for all the comments. The question was not to lower or not.
That is not an option as the stock ride height looks ridiculous when compared to the lowered stance. Thanks Doobee on the nose lift comments. I may have to bite the bullet and install the lift kit. The H & R springs are coming off and I will either be installing the new GMG springs and sway bars or go all the way and install the Bilstein Damptronics any GMG bars.

Well after four days in Santa Barbera and Montecito my front spoiler looks pretty bad. That place has some fantastic roads but the drives and street gutters are not designed for a lowered car. There were several roads and drives were I simply had to turn around and find an alternate route or my spoiler would have been history. My wife kids me that it is called a spoiler because it spoils your ability to drive were you want to go. What do you guys recommend as a front spoiler replacement? That nose lift kit is looking like a mandatory item.

In the meantime, for those of you that are considering springs, here is a 997.1 TT Cab that we did a while back on TechArt Springs and 20" HRE P40SC. The ride height is perfect in my opinion.

Agree 100%

I have the H&R springs. The car is certainly low, and the lip scrapes quite a bit...but it isn't any worse than my stock C6 Z06 was back in the day. I just keep an extra stock lip on the shelf for when it wears out and swap

I got over lowering cars a decade ago when the 996's came out not worth the money or hassle in an already low car. Then I bought my 04 GT3 had to relive how it sucks having such a low car because I was hitting everything, finally got rid of the splitter and put it back on when I sold the car. I saw a kit that was around 5k without install. The problem with lowering a car makes your resale audience very small after you have beat the crap out of the car.
exactly, Most guys that lower a car, for its intended reason dont worry about hitting the splitter,.... because the car is on a trailer going to the track.
The ones that do it for looks make me
