Thanks guys.

w00zy, thanks for sharing your results. 3071s spool earlier than the 3076s which can be seen in the acceleration graph comparing the two. No boost drop between shifts and maintaining acceleration is certainly an advantage with the Tip car over a 6MT where 6MT has to make a little more power to compensate.

One step colder plugs introduced with a shorter gap than OEM. Fresh pair of Beru 997 coils.Thank you @prodigymb for the tip on the plugs. They're a great 1 step colder alternative with a perfect gap for higher boost. We've also got a fresh pair KLINE exhaust manifolds on the car now to compare performance against the OEM that we've been running with thus far.

With meth injection we had ignition break up at around 25psi. Once weather improves we'll take her out to hopefully finalize tuning and see where we stand power wise with this project. It is impossible to put the power down even on wg spring pressure in these temps with R comps

If you run the 93 octane with water/meth inj ... What approximate fuel octane equivalent are you getting and do you run more timing based on that for your 20 psi tune ?

We currently run dual 1mm nozzles with our Aquamist kit. Injection is based on IDC (fuel injector duty cycle) and MAP (boost) so how much gets injected will depend on those two factors and your Aquamist controller settings.

The way you'd tune for meth is before actually doing ANYTHING with tuning you need to make sure that your failsafe is wired up properly and works! You do that by running your pump gas calibration and purposely cause the failsafe to trigger to see it dump all boost to a simulated flow condition. You can also run the car with a very low tank and check that the failsafe triggers as meth tank level drops. Once 100% confirmed with the failsafe you move on to tuning.

You can get close to if not race gas ignition timing with your pump/meth tune. You creep up slowly just like when dialing in the car for any other octane incrementally monitoring knock and power on the dyno to see where you reach MBT. If you've done it before for a given motor/mods you know roughly how far you can go before passing MBT and don't need to be doing it on a dyno.

Meth is a wonderful thing and we wouldn't run a single boosted motor without it. Key is having a good kit that supports 100% meth and has a turbine based failsafe. We swear by Aquamist hardware and wouldn't run/risk running anything else on any motor out there.

Having said all that, our 997.1 is running very strong with the above mods. We're back on the OEM exhaust manifolds and a Sachs 2.5 clutch for now.

We had a local customer inquire on going with a standalone for their 997.1. They were interested in the AEM Infinity specifically so we pulled the OEM DME/Cobb and the EBC controller off the car for the last few weeks to play with the standalone and see what we can do there in terms of tuning, launch control, NLS, boost by gear, traction control, map switching, idle, etc.

More to follow soon.

I would be interested to see what power the alpha 3076 makes at your 20 psi boost at 6000 rpm on Ethanol E85... anyone care to guess ?

On your 93 oct + water/meth I am guessing it is 750 bhp or more at 20 psi ??

@wolfehedge, here's where we decided to stop for now on pump gas and meth. We're being relatively cautious on the low end torque keeping timing and boost conservative in that area and ramping it up towards redline.

Boost hits around 20psi down low with only about 9.5-10* of timing and ramps from there to about 26psi in the top end with timing again conservatively going to about 17-18* by redline. Lambda is around .77-.78 (11.4-11.5:1) from peak torque to redline without any timing pull/knock across the board. With E85 or race gas in the car I'd be a lot more comfortable to push a little harder with ignition timing and boost but we've got no E85 at the pumps here. C85 from VP is the only kind we've got and we'll see what those numbers will be when we get to build an all out stock motor map on this setup. It'll most likely require larger than ID1000 injectors though as we're currently sitting in the high 70s range duty cycle on them even with meth supplementing some of the fuel.

There's a lot of torque/power in midrange on the table by raising boost and timing in that area but we're really happy with how the car is running at the moment and we're being mindful of the rods. Keep in mind a bone stock 997.1 turbo on our Mustang is in the 380-390awhp/awtq range so use that as your reference.

Car is running Pirelli Trofeo R tires in 235/305 configuration and boost by gear is a great feature to have to put the power down in 1st and 2nd at these torque levels.

We're hoping to have the car on an AWD Dynojet to get those as well. Should be 800+awhp on a Dynojet but we'll see, no richer math

702awhp / 624awtq Mustang AWD Dyno - note the RPM values on the graph are a little offset to the right from the actual graph, run ends in the high 6k range

Love how flat the torque is and power just keeps climbing all the way without drop off. Really great job guys looking forward to your future results. Sent an email over to discuss some options as well. - Peter

Quick run in the car yesterday, no SD card unfortunately to get it verified but it was ever so slightly uphill.

This is in fairly hot 29C ambient weather (85F) and a full tank of our pump gas. Low 5s in more decent conditions in this setup won't be an issue at all. Dare I say with some slope, ideal weather and a fuel tank in the bottom 1/4 maybe even a high 4sec 60-130

Boost is where it was prior but we've done some further cleanup on fueling as it was running rich on tip in and a little lean through the peak torque area before which is now resolved.

ID1000s are hovering in the 88-89% duty cycle range even with dual 1mm meth nozzles helping so we're making some pretty serious jam

This is a mid to low 4sec 100-200kph at the moment. Wonder where we'd be with E85 or MS109 E85 would most certainly need larger injectors than ID1000s for this power level.

1400 cc or 2000 cc inj and E85 and this will be way under 5.0 secs 60-130 mph....
