Mitch, since BBi isn't very active on this forum, can you comment a little more on the drivetrain system -- Specifically if the car is still AWD, and if any of the diff's have been upgraded?

Pretty clear that the motor is built & has all the supporting mods (including an aftermarket clutch).

Thanks in advance.

Yes sorry I am out of town working on our latest release for Porsche

Drive train is stock minus a clutch. (ERP if I remember correctly) Still AWD.

3.8 built motor, slightly modified cam shafts, injectors, Alpha 30's.

Honestly nothing too crazy. Starts and idles like stock, drives like a stock car. Just has a lot more power haha.

I would have to get info from BBI. This was the most intriguing part of the build to me as it seems the cam shafts made a huge difference in power compared to the other Alpha cars I have tuned.

So the stock fuel pumps will support 1500cc injectors flowing E85 at 1k+ whp?
If true, that is fantastic news

I think the ceiling is below that. BBi has been installing some sort of upgraded rails, lines, filter, and pump setup on these cars. I have heard of two of them now. I'm not sure where the limit is on the stock parts but somewhere around the mid 700s low 800s on e85 maybe?

To Chkmgnt and Rix

Yes the ceiling is below 1kHp.
I run E85 with a fully built 3,8 and GT30s (Protomotive) and I'm out of fuel with the stock pump and 1680 injectors @1,5Bar, dunno the power (approx 800bhp?).

stock pumps will not support 1k whp on Ethanol, impossible. I would like to know more about the fuel setup these guys are using for this car.

997TT fuel system is VERY tricky, more complex than the 996TT.

996TT has one fuel pump and two jet pumps in each leg of the tank. 997TT has two pickups as well but only one is a real jet pump that is fed by only one of the 2 pumps the second pump can only draw from the basket and flows about 25-30% more than the first one since it doesn have an outlet for the jetpump. Neither of the pumps is a real primary they alternate based on gas level in the tank and second one turns on with fuel demand. I keep meaning to make a thread about this because its pretty interesting.

Well hopefully someone who has taken the $5k plunge with BBi will let us know some details on it.

Sorry sorry I am stuck on the dyno still.

This does have a fuel system. Maybe I can get Betim to chime in with the details.

Thanks
