Baby Kong- 1000WHP Daily Driver
Hola,
I have been pretty quiet for the most part as I have been doing a lot of stuff for new products, calibrating around the world, and supporting a ton of Porsche racing.
I wanted to take some time to post up about this car I worked on over the weekend. This car I tuned some time ago and he wanted to push the car further than what it was at, so he opted to go to 3.8L. This car has Alpha 30 turbos and on our dyno before at 20psi made about 730WHP. The car was also on 1000cc injectors and on E85, so we were capped on fuel.
The car went to BBI and got the motor installed as well as a fuel system and 1500cc Bosch injectors. This is the BBI B-One-E package, and honestly it is just an amazing package. Probably one of the most well rounded packages I have tuned to date, as it is responsive and makes a TON of usable power. They did a great job as always!
The car got finished Friday night and tried to dyno it but had only enough time to get one pull on wastegate pressure. Tune still needed some more work so we loaded it up and took it north for Shift Sector.
Saturday morning we started to get working on it making tweaks to it through the day and finally towards the end of the day the car started to get going! Best time of the weekend in the half mile was 185MPH. Boost wouldn't go above 31psi so it has more in it for sure.
Kong also has a 996 that we were running and supporting at this same event, and it went 205MPH in the half mile, which is really moving, but more on that car later.
Anyways Kong raced the car hard all weekend, and is taking it back to Oklahoma as it is his daily driver
They took it to the dyno today to see how much power the car was actually making after tuning at the event all weekend. 1002WHP on the stock ECU using a Cobb Accessport, calibrated by Me and BBI. This is really how the car will get driven day in and day out, which is really awesome!
Pics:
There was no tach pick up so no torque number for now, but he said he will dyno it when he gets back and get me an updated number.
Enjoy the car Kong, and thanks for reading.

I know the owner of the car and according to him it will be E-85.

It is E85. I think at 34 or 35 psi the car should do 1050 to 1100WHP. Again this is just a guess, but great numbers none the less. Car is really awesome. Looks stock!

This car is crazy! It just looks stock you'd never know there was 1,000 wheel lurking here. Best sleeper ever.
I appreciate Colin running me when it was only 23 psi haha. Glad to hear when you turned up the boost it went 185. That is absolutely flying! In comparison I managed 166.7 so on a whole different level.
