991.2 vs 997tt

Well fellas I've been in love with my 997t for a while but these new 991s have been looking too good to be true. Thinking of picking up a 991.2 c2 vert as a stablemate. Local dealer says they should be getting some tt 3.0 liter 991s in to test drive late feb. Any input on these motors? Buddy at the dealer has been saying there is quite some hype about these new motors but haven't found any talk of vids of them out in Europe yet. How do you guys think these will compare being turbocharged and having a similar design as the previous turbo models.

I don't have an opinion as I know very little about the new cars. However, I know it's just a matter of time until a thread pops up titled "sub 6 60-130 in my FBO Cobb tuned 991.2 S". And frankly, I'm sure how I'm going to feel about that when it happens.

Motors are much more torquey because if the turbos, should be much more fun to drive. Read a European test that said they were fast as well, with 0-60 times under 4 sec. Compared to a 997 turbo, the question is value. Don't know if you have a 997.2, but there is a big difference. Find it hard to pay $40k or more for a slower car.

I see you have a fully built car. I'm sure it's time for a new project! I'll be curious if you find the new car entertaining. You should come up to new Canaan some time this spring!

I had one 991.2S PDK one afternoon 2 weeks ago, nice car but nothing to compare with a built as I and you have, even closer to my DD M3.
Not "visceral" feeling at all, for sure not my choice...

I noticed you said add to the table, if so I think it a great addition to your collection. Classic 997TT plus new tech and new turbos must be a blast to drive. I said go for it.
