Atlas Gray Wheel Color Help

My Atlas Gray Carrera S has standard silver lobster claw wheels that I've been thinking about painting black. I have PCCB's and black interior (sport seats, painted console, alum entry thresholds). I think the aluminum trim in and on the car are a nice contrast to the dark Atlas Gray and black interior, but what do you guys think about black wheels, on Atlas Gray especially with those yellow calipers and ceramic rotors hiding behind the wheels ? I'd love to see a photo if anyone has one to share. Thanks.

Personally, I'd either leave them alone or do them body color. The Black won't match the Atlas, and up close would look like someone goofed.

+1 This is one case in which the OEM silver paint really complements the car.

Either that - or body color. Black is too close to Atlas IMO to look good on wheels.

Thanks for posting the photos, it is helpful to see different wheels/colors on Atlas Gray. I saw the 10 spoke Porsche wheel painted Meteor (I think) on an Atlas Gray Carrera this past Saturday and it looked pretty nice.

After thinking it over, I agree with those who think the silver OEM paint complements the Atlas Gray very well, especially with all the other aluminum/silver on the car. I'm certain to find lots of ways to spend $$$ on the car.

Before you go --I will share my opinion . Keep in mind that when choosing aesthetic appeal taste will vary . I happen to like the brushed Hre wheels on the dark exterior colors . The surface finish texture has this hand crafted appeal that offers a detail quality which I feel exhances the car's color. Some may prefer the more stealth dark/dark while others opt for a huge contrast of chrome/dark and there's ahost of choices in between . However I am so sold on the brushed with my black car .I could not find anything on the atlas but I tried to give somwhat of a close example .

Here is a Meteor . It has a monoblock wheel (post number 22) https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...brushed&page=2

Here is my black car with the a brushed 3 piece wheel . It has a "step lip" and light weight offering excellent performance in both dry and wet roads.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

I would go with Atlas. I think it would be a nice understated touch, that would really set off your PCCB.

To me black wheels look good on black(stealthy) or white(contrast) cars.

I have to disagree on the polished.

Polished wheels are the biggest hassle you will ever have, I had a set once on my truck years ago and never again. Unless your the kind of person who likes to spend lots of time cleaning your car, they are more for the show car guys.

If you ever take a drive upto irvine, I can show you my car with matte black rims. The pictures I've taken do my car no justice and I am thinking of having a photoshoot to have some quality pictures.
