Seat Belt Warning on Dash -Fixed
My 997 C4S seat belt warning light would not deactivate for 3 days even though i was buckled in.
i searched the web but found no references to 997. And yes, i disconnected the battery with no luck.
So, here is what i did:
1. i wrapped the stem and the body of the buckle receptable. this is to catch cleaning fluid.
2. i flooded the receptacle with WD40.
3. with my fingers, i repeatedly push the red part of the receptacle in and out (perhaps 10-15 times). this is to loosen any dirt, rust, whatever.
4. i repeatedly inserted and removed the male buckle into the female receptacle about 15 times also
5. using MAF sensor cleaner, i sprayed the inside of the female receptacle to cleanup the WD40
6. i waited until the following morning to test and..
7. The following morning, i tested and....problem fixed !!!!
I hope this is new and will help others.
