Vinyl Headlight Rings - Installed

I had a set on my prior 997 which was black and they weren't quite as noticeable, but I really like the contrast on silver. They will really look great with the front OEM Aero bumper which will have the lip/spoiler black. I also figure it works well with the windshield and other black trim items on the car.

Although $65 for vinyl is kind of expensive, I think it's well worth it. Much easier second time around although it's not difficult - just have to be patient to line it up and work out the bubbles.

Also did the spoiler, roof and rear valence with the same material.

Had a local shop that wanted to experiment with the new materials....he freehanded it as the templates he has are for the stock 997 lights where mine are the 991 version. In the end he now has a new template!

gonz996, where did you order yours from? I assume they are pre cut.

THanks,

Yes. They're pre-cut and perfect to fit - you just have to be patient and follow instructions - very forgivable - just make sure you have a water bottle squirter to keep the headlight base wet, and both sides of the vinyl. Super easy.

I had a set on my prior 997 and after the first install it went really fast. Good trick after you install them and work bubbles out with their squeegee, put a blow dryer on it to adhere/dry them.

An EXCELLENT and relatively cheap mod.
