How important are the three "loose" grille brackets on Vantage?

I've been wrapping my grille in carbon fiber vinyl. In the process I noticed three of the brackets that slot-in the grille are not actually attached to the car but just there it seems to add some rigidity.

I'm running a 4-bar setup. Everything seems pretty solid w/o the extra brackets and looks a lot cleaner up front without them. Are they necessary to maintain the grid on bumpy highways, or not needed? I like the idea of leaving them off if it won't create an issue.

Thx

era2076 is on a distinguished road
That looks very nice - run it - you'll know soon enough if there is a problem.
