I hate to do this, but I am putting her up for sale. A move downtown has made owning 2 lowered sports cars impossible and expensive. My loss, your gain, this car is amazing in every aspect.
The details:
I bought this car in November from a member here who lived in San Francisco. I drove it 2500 miles home, discovering about 1/4 of the way that the car was having some weird boost issues. From the get go Markski was there to help, and as soon as I had the car home, it was taken to Chicago and spent a month with Mark getting the full going over. He found a few issues, none that caused any damage, but a few that could have if they had been left alone. While it was there he did a very smooth, very strong tune. I decided to buy the tuning 3 pack, so the lucky new owner of this car will get 2 free retunes from Mark if they decide to further modify!
While the car was with Mark he discovered that it had a few more small modifications than I had previously thought. He found that it has some aftermarket injectors, though I'm not sure which ones. Also he suspects that it has an upgraded clutch, simply because of the pedal feel and engagement. The car was tuned to an average of 1-1.1bar. I have seen it get to 1.2 in very cold weather and .9bar in hot weather in the lower gears.
This car runs great, was just in to Porsche of the Village for an oil change and annual check up. It also has the remainder of a CPO warranty, all though its only good through the end of July 2012. Either way it gives the buyer peace of mind immediately following purchase.
The Mods: After I bought the car, I added lower control arms to adjust camber, a switzer catless exhaust, and custom built ADV.1 Forged 1 piece TRACK SPEC wheels. ($13,000 wheels + $3500 in Michelan PS2's, RoadForce Balanced @ Porsche of the Village) The car can be purchased with or with out the exhaust and wheels, I have the factory black painted twists with brand new tires that will also come with the car if you opt out of the ADV.1's. I also have the factory exhaust that will come with the car.
When I bought the car it came with:
-3M Clear Bra covering all front facing contact surfaces (this means the paint looks amazing)
-Tinted side markers, windows, and tail lights, and turbo badge (tint in the rear window is starting to look weathered)
-GT3 6 pot Brakes with 997 rotors and stainless brake lines front and rear.
-Lowered on H&R springs
-997 GT3RS seats, extremely comfortable, much better than stock, I drove accross the country in these with no complaints!
-Painted silver center console
-GT2 rear seat delete kit (still allows rear seats, which come with the car)
-Hard wired for Valentine 1, routed through the headliner
I'm sure I'm forgetting something, and will update the thread as they come to me. This car is amazing, it gets nothing but the best compliments from everyone, including Porsche fanatics. When I tell people its a 2003 they are shocked and tell me they like it better than the new model. This car truly is breathtaking in person.
