I am selling my silver Porsche 911. I have owned it since July, 2011 and I purchased it from an older gentleman in South Hampton, New York. He had owned the car for the previous 2 years, and rarely drove it, never in winter. He purchased it at only 11,000 miles as a certified preowned car from the local Porsche dealership and put 3,000 miles on it in 2 years. Sadly he was simplifying his life due to medical problems which forced the sale to me.

After purchasing the car I drove it to Virginia Beach, Virginia where I was stationed with the military. I had the car serviced with Lutso, a well known Porsche independent race car prep and mechanic shop LMN Motorsports in Virginia Beach.

I remained in Virginia for only 1 year and then moved to South Carolina, again with the military. I used the car as my daily driver immediately from when it was purchased and still drive it daily now. I have conducted religious oil changes every 3-4000 miles with Mobile 1 full synthetic.

This year I moved to CA for work and have continued daily driving the car. The car just finished up a service at Brewster Automotive in San Clemente, a very well known and respected independent shop conducting both restorations as well as race car preparation. The headlights were slightly cloudy so I had them professionally restored and they now appear brand new. They are coated and treated so they will last another 20 years of driving without fading. Additionally, the front lower bumper was scratched and chipped from daily commuting, so I had that repainted to really put the car over the top.

I have service records from back to 2010 when it was purchased as certified pre owned. I have a clean and clear title in hand.

Car currently has 40,100 miles but will go up slightly as I continue to drive it.

Rear Main Seal:

I have no records indicating the rear main seal has been replaced, however I do not have the records from prior to 2010. Additionally, there is no oil that drips or weeps from the bottom of the engine so it has never been a concern to me.

Intermediate Shaft Bearing:

There are plenty of opinions and tons of information on this. I never had it replaced, I probably would have if I had kept the car at some point, and just treated it like a wear item, but it’s never caused me any trouble. I instead decided to drive the car like it was meant to be driven and change the oil frequently. I cut open the filter and run a magnet through the old oil and have never found any shavings or debris.

Lastly, why I’m selling.
I’m selling this car to fund the purchase of another Porsche. I am going with something a little older and more raw, and going to be building a lightweight hopefully 75 911s. I’m convinced it’s one of the greatest daily drivers out there, and certainly nothing with the performance, fun factor, or sportiness anywhere near the price range and mileage.

I wouldn’t hesitate to drive this car across the country today though.

I'll also throw in a Porsche car cover, trickle charger, bra, and B+M Short shifter not installed.

You can't buy a Tacoma or a Prius for that amount of money!
