Fuel pupm and warranty
My CTT 08 was dying after start. It is allmoust off of warranty - about 1000 miles left. Porsche repased fuse for fuel pump and telling me everything is Ok.
I'm very conserned what fuel pump itself has a problem and need to be replaced
How do I force them to Replace fuel pump?

If you tell a good dealer the following symptoms, they'll have to replace it (HPFP- high pressure fuel pump):
- car stalled/died at the intersection 2-3 times, while coming to the stop at the light, had to restart the car, restart took very long time 30-40sec cranking time;
- car starts very ruff in the morning and only after long 30-40sec cranking time;
- very often above symptoms come up together with some "check engine light code"
- above symptoms increase expanentually in bad weather situations (after car driven in a traffic during heavy rain/thunder or low temps/ice/snow conditions).
Electrical components fail after stress weather/ice/water situations. Cayennes are not very well electrically grounded cars. Even cheap japanese cars have better electrical circuitry designs/implementations.
Also tell the dealer to check for CayS/GTS/TT fuel pump recall for 08-10 cars.
Porsche AG factory supplies are at fault, very many CayS/TTs 08/09/10 were supplied with the unreliable/nonquality/faulty HPFPs from the factory and they were starting to fail at 20-30Kmi.
