I just bought an 08 gt3rs.Whooo Hooooo!!!

 

Think of it this way.
Buy this for $27K. Sell your perfectly good Used stock turbo motor or slightly modded for $12,000. You have a ridiculously fast car instantly for probably less than $15K-$17K, or about the cost for some stage 2 modding onto your engine that is already getting tired.

From a purely math decision, this is a no brainer for someone considering a major upgrade to their near stock 996 turbo. GLWS !!

 

not so easy to sell your stock long block..if it was that easy I'd be all over it

It might take some time to sell but you will sell it. Let say you sold your engine on ebay/forums for at 9k for a quick sale. Your investment would be only 18k. It doesnt get better than that.

 

Thanks Ari, some needs to jump on this. This engine will transform someones car that for sure.

 

Clearly I was overzealous. Apparently a long block turbo is at best $5-8K if used, so the difference is further away. You were right....oh well!

 

8k is for a quick sale, but you did have a point, stock engines do sell for 12k to 15k if you're patient. This has been the average many years.

 

The days of 12-15k 996tt motors seem to be over.

 

Its all about supply and demand.
