Much like another supercar maker that popped back up at the Geneva Motor Show after a short absence, Spyker, Gumpert slid in the backdoor under a new name: Apollo Automobil. After struggling financially a couple years back, founder Roland Gumpert sold his company to an investment firm in Hong Kong. The car you see here is the first result of that result and the return of the brand.

After holding the honor as one of the fastest Nürburgring cars with the Gumpert Apollo, the Apollo Arrow had to bring the heat. It helped that the Arrow is largely based on the Gumpert but has a sultry new dress that’s supposedly inspired by the F-22 Raptor fighter jet and … wait for it … SHARKS. Hell yes. Who doesn’t like sharks?

A highly modified version of an Audi-sourced 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 is expected to make in the neighborhood of 1,000 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque (1,000 Nm). The boost in power is partially attributed to bigger turbos, better intercoolers, and an upgraded exhaust.

As for the grip and suspension setup goes, the Arrow sports racing-researched dampers, 20- and 21-inch monoblock alloy wheels, and AP Racing brakes. The carbon body and carbon monocoque are joined by a bunch of little other carbon bits (air ducts/fuel cap/oil cap), as well, because every little pound matters.

This is just the prototype, but the current plans are to build only 100 examples of this lil ninja star, each tailored to its buyer.
