The Model and the Maserati Boomerang
I spotted this beautiful concept car in a Louis Vuitton ad during a trip to the dentist’s office. The silver beast was sandwiched between Kim and Kayne’s obnoxious wedding photos. It looked Italian but it was hard to tell the make with the obviously bored model standing in the way.
The series of photos using the Boomerang as a prop was taken by German fashion photographer Juergen Teller. The car is a 1972 Maserati Boomerang one-shot designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro. He also designed the BMW M1, the Volkswagen Golf and the DeLorean.
The Vuitton photo shoot above was posted on YouTube and is best watched with the sound off. Road & Track posted the shaky video of the Boomerang in action below.
It sure looks like it can get pretty toasty in the Maserati’s cabin with all that glass. What happens when the air-conditioner breaks down? A total sweat box, right? Still it’s an impressive looking ride and looks like a blast to drive.
Talk about the Maserati Boomerang and other exotics in the forum.>>
