Adorned by a love-it-or-hate-it Dandelion Yellow, this 148-mile McLaren F1 is the lowest-mileage of its kind in the entire world – and it could be yours.

Many supercars and hypercars have come and gone since the McLaren F1 debuted in 1995. Designed by a true titan of the industry, Gordon Murray, the F1 was as wicked as it was advanced. Fast forward 22 years and the mighty Brit still looks as fast and raw as it did then. Presumably, this means you could easily drive it around town without feeling bad for owning an old beater. And with the help of very deep pockets, you might just have the chance!

Auction house Tom Hartley JNR has just listed for sale a 1997 McLaren F1 with what’s considered delivery mileage, only. The eye-searing speed demon has only traveled 148 miles during its 20-year life, and it even features the factory wrappers in the two passenger seats and factory spare parts. We’re not sure if such low mileage is something we should be happy about, or cringe at the fact that someone out there purchased a McLaren F1 and never drove it. Or, McLaren engages in Ferrari-like practices and rolls back odometers.

This particular vehicle is Chassis No. 60, and the online listing suggests potential customers should call to inquire about pricing. While we don’t know what a nearly brand-new 1997 F1 runs nowadays, we do know that the first sample to land in the US sold for $15.6 million a few months ago. Our internal accounting department (our iPhone’s calculator) has arrived to the conclusion that if a 9,600-mile F1 can sell for nearly $16 million, one with virtually zero miles could very well double that amount.

Just imagine this, the 627-horsepower 6.1-liter BMW V12 hasn’t even been broken in yet! How’s that for bragging rights among your billionaire comrades?

If you’ve recently hit the lotto or you’re sitting on a pile of cash you’re aching to get rid of, we urge you to buy this beauty.
