Audi has been testing a “long tail” version of their R18 E-Tron for next month’s 24 Hours of LeMans at the Autodromo di Monza and video from the test has hit the internet. I find it scary how a machine can go that fast and be that quiet. Unofficially clocked at 340KPH or 211 MPH on the modified Monza circuit is pretty damn quick, and the straights at the Circuit de la Sarthe are longer and faster. It doesn’t sound like the Audi lifts at the Curva Grande either, so we could be looking at another dominant performance from Audi at the 24 hour race this year.
