$30 Million Ferrari 250 GTO Accident in France
It’s difficult to understate the rareness and value of a Ferrari 250 GTO. There are only 30 models left in the world, and they can easily command prices upward of 30 million dollars. So when you hear about one crashing, it’s always going to be big news. The car was in France for the Le Mans Classic where it joined 23 other Ferrari 250 GTO’s. According to a local newspaper, La Nouvelle Republique, the accident occurred on country road D 766. Luckily, there were no life threatening injuries. Chris Cox, the owner of the car, suffered little injury. His wife, Ann, is now recovering from a broken leg and ankle. More than likely, the car will under go a recovery as well. Most of the damage was to the front end and can be fixed. It’s a bad situation, but the fact that both the car and the people involved will be fine is as happy of an ending as anyone could hope for.
