Audi Sketches Out the New TT for Geneva Debut
I’ve always had a soft spot for the Audi TT. Not version one though. It looked like a flattened Beetle, cutesy, squat, and bloated, sporty only in nature and better suited for people who felt a Lexus SC430 was too aggressive looking.
Jokes aside, I did enjoy the second generation MK2. With a more aggressively refined look, tightened suspension, and better performance dynamics, the second go around felt like a more viable option for sports enthusiasts. Now, enter a Audi’s release of sketches for the MK3, which will be offically revealed in a couple weeks at the Geneva Motor Show.
Sketches for part the latest installment of Audi’s hit 2+2 sports coupe appears to be promising, with more of the things I enjoyed seeing from the MK1 to MK2 evolution. More angular lines, a lower more athletic stance, a more pronounced sports coupe profile. The designs are said to draw from the Allroad Shooting Brake concept that debuted last month, and the smaller single-frame grille indicates more inspiration from the RS8 than bug.
So far, so good, and since Audi is pretty good about delivering close to concept production vehicles, I have no doubts that the new Audi TT will see a great unveiling.
