What Are the Best Analog Supercars of All Time?

By -

Supercars today are faster then ever and are full of technology. Where would the supercar be without modern computer advancements? One word. Analog.

The modern world is full of technology to make our lives easier. This makes for a wonderful era to live in, but it has also made us a bit soft. Modern supercars have electric power steering, computer-controlled suspension, amazing traction, and stability control. These all help make supercars easier to drive and keep their owners alive. The supercars of 20 years ago, and beyond, are the stuff of legends. Everything on an analog supercar is manually connected to the driver. The driver’s right foot is the traction control and stability control depends on whether the driver has been drinking. These were hairy-chested pumped up death machines designed purely to go fast.

The analog supercar is also a pure drivers car. All of the inputs connect the driver directly to the car. The steering allows the driver to feel the condition of the road surface and tire grip through the rim of the wheel. The power of the supercar can easily overwhelm the grip of the tires, allowing the drive to slide the car when necessary. The gear shift on the transmission is a manual one and has a direct connection to the driver. The speed and performance of an analog supercar are directly up to the skill of the driver. Sure, you can own one, but it doesn’t mean you have the skill, or balls, to handle it on the limit. So, what are the best of the analog supercars of all time?
