It’s Coming: Bugatti Chiron Driven

Bugatti Chiron driven: 1,500 horsepower of engineering ability.

Let’s keep this brief: the Bugatti Chiron is a masterclass of power and precision. Bugatti invited me to drive the new Chiron, and it is truly incredible. Of course, with a $3,000,000 price tag, you would expect perfection.

Much like its predecessor, the Veyron, the Chiron is built in very limited numbers. This was no typical used and abused press car. I had a three hour window with the Chiron. As far as first dates go, it was a nerve-wracking one. Especially considering that Bugatti appointed a custodian to the Chiron. Racing driver Butch Leitzinger hovered over my shoulder at all times making sure I didn’t cause a $3,000,000 accident.

Beyond its extraordinary looks, the latest Bugatti creation has a lot going for it. The build quality is fabulous, as you would expect. However, the level of driver involvement is what surprised me the most. The car is engaging, lively and playful. Not what most people would expect from a 1,500 horsepower, 4,400lb mega car.

Of course, there is so much more to the Chiron than that, but you will have to wait for the full review to go live. Stay tuned to 6SpeedOnline.com for the full story on driving the Bugatti Chiron.
