Wow. Ok, new record for the famous F-car–or any car for that matter. Only 39 of these were built, and they’ve always commanded big bucks. But $52 million is huge, and represents a 49% increase from the last 250 GTO sold. Are we looking at a bubble? How long can this continue? More at Bloomberg

Damn this thing sounds good. But Ferrari doesn’t normally test their cars at the Nurburgring, so what gives? The guys at Jalopnik think they might be trying to beat the 6:57 lap time set by the Porsche 918 Spyder. Well, good luck with that. But anyway, this thing sounds amazing.
