This is why we can’t have nice things! This is far from the first American V8 engine swapped into a Porsche, but I cringe every time I hear about one of these swaps. It’s a bit sacrilegious, don’t you think? Then again, I’ve spent a good amount of time with the latest Ford Mustang with the Coyote V8, and it’s a bloody good car, but it that’s where it belongs.
Still, my positive feelings toward the Mustang engine doesn’t make me like the Cayman any more. Sure, it may be somewhat cool, and sure, it may be pretty darn fast, but we all know it won’t be any better on the road than the original factory package. It simply can’t be.
