EVO Magazine Searches for their Car of the Year on the Track
Another year nears it’s end, and with it comes another best of 2012 list. Motor Trend has already come to their conclusion with their “best drivers” car of 2012 list, but British driving mag EVO is forming their own opinion, of course.

Most of the car they’re testing are familiar and expected. Toyota’s upstart GT86 is on their list, as is Porsche’s new Boxster and 911. They’ve also included some choices that simply aren’t available in the US like the incredibly weird Morgan 3 wheeler and the hotted up Alpina B3 GT3. Of course, the 3,000lb gorilla in the room is Pagani’s Huayra. How anything else they’ve listed could hope to compete against that is a mystery to me.

Fastest doesn’t necessarily mean best, however. And like the Motor Trend list, they’re subjecting these lucky few to a barrage of tests. As curious I am about how well Lotus’ latest tackles a English B-road, I am also impatient and enjoy loud noises and power slides. Thankfully, EVO knows me all to well. Tiff Needel and crew attack the track in a video below while making everyone else in the world jealous. I mean who wouldn’t want a Morgan 3 wheeler after this?
