Petrolicious has produced another beautifully shot, organic film about one man’s passion for his cars. An airline pilot by trade, Torfi Sigurjonsson of Iceland has always had a thing for speed.

There were two cars at the top of his list: first was the Mercedes-Benz 500E, with it’s 5.0L V8 making 322 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque, was an absolute rocket for it’s time. However, there is more to it than that, this was not a car intended to be driven on the ragged edge, no, with the 500E, the sensation of effortless acceleration and adept handling at everyday speeds is where it shines. Outside of the driving experience, the 500E is a styling icon for the brand, offering timeless looks and the perfect stance.

With the second car on the list, it began innocuously enough, a curiosity for the Porsche 928. That curiosity resulted in Torfi taking a chance and buying one, sight unseen, from the United Kingdom and driving it back to Iceland. This unusually bright 928 has quite a history behind it, and it’s best told my it’s owner:

Jake Stumph is a lifelong car enthusiast and racer, and former content editor for Internet Brands Automotive which he joined in 2015. His work has been featured by several other prominent automotive outlets, including Jalopnik and Autobytel.

He obtained a bachelor's degree in Political Science at the Ohio State University in 2013, then pivoted from covering politics and policy to writing about his automotive adventures, something that, he says, is a lot more fun. Since that time, he has established connections with most of the world's major automakers, as well as other key brands in the automotive industry.

He enjoys track days, drifting, and autocross, at least, when his cars are running right, which is uncommon.
